The Miller Manual Rope Grab - 8174/U is a manual rope grab suitable for pairing with a 5/8-inch synthetic rope. It is lightweight and moves up and down vertical lifelines easily, providing the user with continuous fall protection. In the event of a fall, this rope grab engages its lock instantly, saving the user from injury or death while scaling skyscrapers or climbing.
Its compact design is constructed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel. It features a minimum tensile strength of 3,600 pounds and can support up to 22 kilonewtons when secured to an anchorage independent of the worker's platform.
This rope grab has a weight capacity of 310 pounds and meets or exceeds OSHA 1910.66, 1926.502, and ANSI A10.32, Z359.1 requirements.
